Ministry of Sound: The Annual 2008 Course and Goodwill (Australia)

Hi there my lovely ones. Long time…hasn’t it? Funny because no one will be reading this most probably xD.

Well I have always loved the Ministry of Sound (MOS), once a British nightclub owned by some Geezers now international successes resulting in many great DJ electro chart Hits. Not just for the LULz as described by those on Encyclopedia Dramatica. Well their music inspired me to get a Fake ID and I did, off a great site btw! It was a UK ID saying I was of legal age to head off into the unseen world of Dance floor vomit. But alas the ID didn’t work and I was left very disappointed. But enough of that.

I was hanging around for the Annual 2008 and at first I was disappointed but then the CD started to grow on me. John Course is on the Annual of Courseeeeeee. Disc One as always, John Course doesn’t do no Disc Two. My disappointment came from the fact that I didn’t really listen to the 2008 Annual and I was expecting too much to soon. I mean if you go ahead and listen to the Ministry of Sound 2005 Annual John Course was awesome! He is on the job - that is the best I’ve heard of Course, mixing it up the way he does. (BTW the transition from the Dusk ‘Till Dawn and I am Tha 1 in the Annual 2005, it is awesome, check it out and get back to me baby). Though there is still a disappointing factor to Course in this Annual compared to his choice in the 2005 Annual.

Disc One - John Course

VANDDDDDAAALISSMMMM. I have never seen that many Vandalism remixes all at once. I know this is the Australian Annual 2008 but come on, are Vandalism the only Electro routes we have to show offff?????????? I mean Van She mixes are the sex!

But it surprises me that Van She tours everywhere more than Australia and they are Australian, Wiki is never wrong.

So I am not going to tell you about all the songs I didn’t like, but I will give you the list of songs I liked on this Course Annual – Guaranteed that you will like these too.

Ida Corr vs Fedde Le Grand - Let Me Think About It (Original Club Mix) (Track 1)
Tribal Kings vs 3rd Face - Canto Della Liberta (Vandalism Mix) (Track 2)
Fucking awesome transition between these two mixes!
Mason – Quarter (Original Mix) (Track 3)
Laura Kidd – Automatic (Original Mix) (Track 6)
Super Mal feat. Luciana - Bigger Than Big (Original Vocal Mix) (Track 8)
Eyerer & Chopstick feat. Zdar - Make My Day (Haunting) (Original Vocal Mix) (Track 10)
Yves Larock – Rise Up (Original Mix) (Track 12)
Noir – All About House Music (Peter Gelderblom Remix) (Track 14)
Axwell – I Found U (Remode) (Track 16)
Mark Knight feat. Luciana from Portobella - Party Animal (Vandalism Remix) (Track 18)
Armand Van Helden – I Want Your Soul (TV Rock Remix) (Track 20)
DJ Jeroenski – Back Once Again (Vandalism Mix) (Track 21)

Disc Two – Goodwill

Goodwill does a really good Job here; his mix of artists just has to be admired. Usually I am a bigger fan of Course than I am of Goodwill. But in this Annual I was taken aback his choice is mesmerizing and I love nearly every tune. I recommend you listen to Goodwill before Course. Goodwill’s work in MOS include being a usual in the Clubbers Guide just as much as Course is a usual in the Annual’s. The Clubbers Guide 2006 and 2007 have to be my favourite. If you have time find them and listen to his awesomeness.
I couldn’t be happier about this Disc, I should shut up now, but mannn he has out done himself!!!

Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights (Angello & Ingrosso Remix) (Track 1)
PNAU - No More Violence (Original Mix) (Track 2)
Peter Gelderblom - Waiting 4 (Original Mix) (Track 3)
Sneaky Sound System – Goodbye (Goodwill Darley St Remix) (Track 4)
John Dahlback – Everywhere (D.O.N.S. Meets DBN In The Box Remix) (Track 5)
Datarock - Fa Fa Fa (Jump Jump Dance Dance Remix) (Track 7)
Digitalism – Idealistic (A-Trak Remix) (Track 8)
The Marches - Turn It Around (Micky Slim Remix) (Track 9)
Bag Raiders - Fun Punch (Original Mix) (Track 10)
Chris Lake - Carry Me Away (The Aston Shuffle Remix) (Track 11)
Klaus Hill – Boombaclart (Original Mix) (Track 12)
The Aston Shuffle - For Everyone (Original Mix) (Track 13)
Tommy Trash - Amsterdam 01 (Original Mix) (Track 16)
Attack Attack - Set The Sun (Ben Macklin Remix) (Track 17)
Gregor Tresher - A Thousand Nights Part 1 (Original Mix) (You have to listen to!!! It is fucking awesome… I love it). (Track 19)
Felix Da Housecat - The Future Call The Dawn (Original Mix) (Track 20)
Midnight Juggernauts - Road To Recovery (Track 21)

So now we are at the end, I hope you like my ratings –

Ministry of Sound: The Annual 2008 Course and Goodwill (Australia)

Disc One – Course - 7/10

Disco two – Goodwill - 9/10
